A flushing toilet is something that most of us Australians take for granted — a luxury that billions of people in the world don’t have. We don’t really think about it until something goes wrong, and it can be a massive inconvenience when it does! A common problem is for the cistern to continue leaking into the bowl after a flush (known as phantom flush), wasting a significant amount of water over time. Other problems may be a weak flush causing it to need multiple flushes, or leaky seals causing water to leak onto the floor.
